Welcome! I am Laurie Rose, the designer behind Rose and Leaves in the Santa Cruz mountains.  I design everything from faux floral wreaths to succulent arrangements. I like to think I inherited my grandmother’s love of flowers, design, and foraging. My first job at 15 years old was in a florist shop. Even while teaching second grade, I worked part time in a flower shop.  Through the years of raising a family and working in education, I continued to seek a creative outlet. I have made boutonniere and corsages for prom, wedding bouquets, succulent hair combs and succulent pumpkins. This past year, I created a wreath for my mom for her new senior living apartment door. While her neighbors were in lockdown due to the pandemic,  I made and donated wreaths and arrangements to brighten their days. After much encouragement and creating a place to fuel my creativity, I decided to start Rose and Leaves.
